Our work and relationships are based in mutuality. Come spend time with us! We offer weekly classes on a donation basis and a series of FREE public workshops that connect to the themes of each year’s premiere. If you are presenting work elsewhere, invite us! You can send us notices via Facebook or Instagram or at admin@ananyadancetheatre.org. We can’t promise to be there, but we’re always glad to know what our community is working on!

We offer FREE public workshops, thematically connected to each year’s premiere. These embodied events offer multiple ways for all bodies to participate in the ideas, emotions, textures, and relationships that feature in the work. All are welcome. Our studio is called the Shawngrām Institute for Performance & Social Justice. We do not keep regular open studio hours. If you would like to have a conversation, please email us to make an appointment or if you are interested in renting our studio.
If you are attending a class for the first time, the instructor will be available to let you in ~10 minutes before class start time.
If you are attending an event or workshop, doors open ~15 minutes before the start time.

The Shawngrām Institute for Performance & Social Justice is located at 1197 University Avenue West in Saint Paul. There is limited parking available in the surface lot on the east side of our building. There is ample free street parking on Griggs, Dunlap, and Sherburne.
Alternatively, we are steps from the Lexington Avenue Green Line station.
The O’Shaughnessy Auditorium at Saint Catherine University is located at 2004 Randolph Ave, St Paul, MN 55105. There is ample free parking designated for O’Shaughnessy use during performances. Please observe campus signage.

Join one of our community level classes. The principles of Yorchhā can help grow mobility, strength, flow, and connection across difference for all participants, whether or not they are professional dancers.
Consider joining one of our ongoing weekly classes (semi-professional/professional level.) Contact Artistic Associate Kealoha Ferreira to discuss what class might be a good fit for you.
Please note that Yorchhā is a highly rigorous practice that requires intensive and durational training to perform in a professional capacity.

Events at our Shawngrām Institute for Performance and Social Justice offer free street parking, on the Green Line, in a climate-controlled ADA-accessible space, with gender-inclusive restroom facilities. All online offerings provide auto-closed-captioning and, when possible, ASL interpretation.
Events at The O’Shaughnessy Auditorium offer free parking, ADA building access, free companion seating for patrons using a wheelchair, assisted-listening devices, hearing protection for sensory-sensitive patrons, and digital programs for all patrons, including those with vision limitations.
